Christi O’Farrell worked within the Veterinary Industry as a Receptionist and Veterinary Assistant for 6 years prior to starting Veterinary Staffing Solutions. She founded Veterinary Staffing Solutions in February 2006, after recognizing the industries immeasurable need for staffing support. Starting with very humble roots working from home and interviewing at Starbucks, she set out to help the industry she had grown to love.
Within less than two years, Christi has successfully put Veterinary Staffing Solutions on the map. VSS now has a “real” office and a team that shares her vision. “It is very rewarding to be able to match great candidates with great clinics in need. I know first hand the immediate relief that comes over you, when you have a complete staff.” Christi remains on track with her goals of growing VSS nationwide and developing innovative strategies for staffing solutions.
Tammy Schroder has had a long term career as an executive assistant for a private holding company in Houston.
Believing in the vision of VSS, she joined forces with Christi O'Farrell in creating the company and has remained an
imperative member of the team as the office manager.
Shannon Ramsey graduated from the Sul Ross State University (SRSU) Veterinary Technology Program and became an RVT in 1998. After working in private practice for several years, she was asked to take the position of Veterinary Technician Instructor at her alma mater. She accepted the position and joined the staff of SRSU and taught in the Veterinary Technician program for five years. She joined our staff as the Director of Education and Training in June of 2007 to continue her love for teaching and has also taken on the role of Staffing Specialist for our non-local candidates.
Kim Cannan has recently joined our team as the Territory Manager for Austin and the surrounding areas. Kim comes to us with over 10 years experience in the veterinary industry. She has worked in the kennel, as a technician, a receptionist and Hospital Manager. This experience makes her uniquely qualified to help you find your perfect fit. "Having been a hiring manager, I understand the time and frustration involved in finding the right employee. I'm excited to be able to take that responsibility and free the managers and doctors so they can focus on patient care and growing their practices."
